What an inviting place! The ice cream is delicious with an excellent selection of flavors. I love the atmosphere inside, including the very friendly staff, and the outdoor seating is just right for the coming warm weather. I am so glad there is a place like this on Rantoul Street, and I can't wait to go back for more delicious treats!

So impressed by this place! I can’t speak to the food, because we only had ice cream sundaes the day we visited, but such a great experience and atmosphere! The staff was incredibly friendly. We met the owner, who was so kind to my kids—even going out of his way to turn on the old Juke box for my son who was super curious about it. The decor is so fun and unique and brought me right back to my childhood. The kids keep asking me when we can go back. Very highly recommend!

Such a wonderful surprise finding this coffee shop. We were in the area and hadn’t been in years and wanted to stop into a coffee shop with our four kids. Found this on the map and it looked to be a good size to fit all of us. George, the owner with his wife, were just the kindest. The kids had a bit of energy and were running around a little to which we tried to curb when we were ordering some items. He had small stuffed animals and let them choose. He said he wants this place to be a family place and loves having kids in. They had really good quality tasting coffee, husband got a cappuccino and I got an iced coffee, very smooth. Kids shared mini charcuterie of veggies and meat/cheese and sliced focaccia. Then a cupcake each that was the perfect size for them. We shared the CHEB sandwich which was delicious and fresh. Can’t wait to return and try their ice cream. Such friendly service and people! Thank you for letting us feel at ease for bringing our big family out.

Omg they are AMAZING!!! I met the owners today because I was the winner of their giveaway of an ice cream party for me and my co workers. They are the nicest people and serve the yummiest ice cream! I can't wait to come back and try their food (I'm really looking forward to their meat and cheese board called "the woody"). Thanks again for all the yummy treats!!!

We had the most pleasant experience trying out the Cotton Mill for the first time today. The staff went above and beyond with their genuine kindness, a mini ice cream treat for our dog, and just an overall welcoming atmosphere that you can’t help but wanting to return to. The front cashier in particular was especially thoughtful and gave the impression like he sincerely enjoyed his job and making sure customers were happy which is something you don’t see very often anymore. The breakfast sandwiches were great. We will definitely be back to try some ice cream.

First time here and I was impressed!! I think my family and I will be regulars and I'm excited to try more things from the menu. Had a breakfast sandwich on a gluten free bagel and was shocked at how great it was! Excited to have a gluten free friendly place around. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond when my appt ran late and I was late picking up my order. They brought it out to my car and even re-made the sandwich so it was fresh without me asking! Super thoughtful and appreciated. Also bonus-got a blueberry muffin for my picky 1 year old and he loved it! New favorite!

My friend and I came here to study. We had a great time enjoying the atmosphere and music that wasn’t overly loud like some other places. I will say I was a little disappointed in the iced coffee I got, but when I go there again I plan to try some ice cream! It’s a nice space to meet and talk with people or study/work. The cotton mill cafe lost a star from me because the coffee was watered down, but I love the time I spent there and would recommend others to try something else for their menu!

This place is easy to miss, but I recommend you seek it out. I got the "Big Breakfast" with a hot chocolate. The breakfast consists of eggs, toast, bacon, and home fries. As it says in my bio, I'm a big breakfast fan. I've tried most of the breakfast joints in the area, so I was surprised I missed one right nearby me! I've been on the hunt for good home fries in the area and it's been sorely disappointing. This is the first place that I've actually enjoyed them—the first place that had the b*lls to actually season the things. (Seriously, I can't believe how bland the northshore is.) My over easy eggs were cooked to perfection (and they were large and fresh-tasting), the bacon wasn't too crispy, wasn't too soft, though a little thin for my personal preference. The toast was thick, but light and fluffy. The hot chocolate was rich but not overbearingly so, and wasn't scalding hot, but was still warm enough to enjoy. The whole meal was served at the perfect temperature. The price was fair (I paid $10.99 for everything), and the size was perfect: big and filling, but I cleaned my plate. The interior is lovely and clean and the staff was lovely. They were attentive to my experience, but not disruptive of it. I honestly felt like they were mistaking me for some sort of public figure for how nicely I was being treated. Just an overall great experience. I look forward to returning.
